Temporary Accommodations
The Disability Services office recognizes that students with temporary disabilities may need accommodations similar to those who receive on-going disability services in order to ensure access to campus programs and activities. Temporary accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis and may be approved as a result of an injury, surgery, or short-term medical condition. Examples may include broken bones, injuries requiring surgery, impairments due to concussions, and medical complications due to pregnancy/birth. Therefore, in order to request temporary accommodations, the student is required to contact the Disability Services office for further assistance.
Assistance cannot be provided for tasks of a personal nature such as scribing for homework, individual aid assistance, or assisting with personal health-home care.
