Peer Navigator Application

If you are interested in becoming a Peer Navigator, you must:

  • Be in good academic and disciplinary standing with MCC.
  • Be a full-time undergraduate student for the 2024-25 school year.
  • Have completed at least 1 semester at MCC as a full-time matriculated student (transfer students are eligible, but must meet GPA requirement).
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

Responsibilities

Peer Navigator Responsibilities

  • Facilitate orientations during the summer and January sessions.
  • Attend Mandatory Paid Training January 6th to 7th
  • Plan and organize activities for first year students throughout the school year.
  • Conduct campus tours and workshops for both new and current MCC students.
  • Assist in staffing the MCC Trib411 Information Desk.
  • Engage and mentor new students in person and through online platforms, including social media.
  • Work signature events at MCC ( MCC Open House, Admitted Student Day, etc)
  • Attend weekly staff meetings on Mondays at 4pm 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Bi-weekly cash stipend.
  • Free Residence Hall single room for Fall 24/Spring 25 (student is responsible for submitting Housing Application and paying deposit). 
  • Larger bi-weekly cash stipend for students not able to live in the residence halls.
  • Limited meals provided during training and college events.  
  • Learn and develop transferable skills useful for future employment.
  • Opportunity to gain leadership experiences and connect with the MCC community.
  • MCC Apparel, uniforms provided.

before 5pm on Friday, December 6th.

Step 3: Attend Individual Interview 

You will be invited to an individual interview with members of the selection committee. 

Step 4: Attend Group Interview 

All applicants must attend the Group Interview on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 4 to 6pm.
